The Cannery Row Brewing Company taproom is open seven days a week, offering a rotating selection of their own beers, as well as guest taps from other local breweries. Just like the Cannery Row of Steinbeck’s day, the brewery is located in a former cannery building that has been repurposed for modern use.
The Lawsons named the brewery after John Steinbeck’s classic novel, Cannery Row, which is set in Monterey during the height of the sardine canning industry.
The brewery was founded in 2014 by husband and wife team, Mike and Jodi Lawson, with the goal of creating a gathering place for the community to enjoy fresh, locally-brewed beer.
